What Meetings Mean
A meeting is a gathering of two or more people, at the same time (in person or remotely), to work toward a shared result.
Standard for Meetings
- Explain running meetings well enough that others can learn to apply it.
- Reliably run meetings that have all four of these:
- Results: the meeting produces what it was called for, such as a decision, a plan, or a solved problem.
- Enjoyment: people find the meeting worthwhile and pleasant to attend.
- Connection: people leave feeling more connected to each other.
- Efficiency: little wasted time, effort, cost, hassle, or conflict.
